Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) – one of Daimler’s largest development centers outside of Germany, employing over 6000 skilled engineers aside from being an integral part of all business units and brands of Daimler worldwide, is looking for talented technical professionals with proven experience in developing cloud-native microservices using Java, Kotlin or GoLang. 

Towards this goal, the first two editions of the Cloud Platform Developer Hiring Challenge was held in March and June, 2021. A huge success with over 900 registrations, the event saw 40+ shortlisted names. Of which multiple talents made the cut to be part of a name that embodies The Best or Nothing in deed and spirit, for over 135 years, while getting to make an impact with our brand that builds the world’s best Connected Car Functions!

Based on our bygone success, here’s presenting the Cloud Platform Developer Hiring Challenge in its second edition!


  • Candidates with 1-10 years of experience.
  • Candidates with a qualification in BE/BTech.

Challenge Format:

  • 1 backend task-based question

Cracking the challenge could bring you the chance to directly impact the customer experience and build microservices that drive connected functions in the Mercedes-Benz cars. Get to work on the cutting-edge IoT cloud platform built on Azure, enabling a connected car experience for more than 10 million Mercedes-Benz customers worldwide.

Ideal Candidate?

We are looking for talented technical professionals with proven experience in developing cloud-native microservices using Java, Kotlin or GoLang.

  • You can skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code
  • You have experience influencing others and always advocate for technical excellence while being open to change when needed 
  • You are resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives
  • Skillful in DevOps technologies like AKS, ADO, AKV, ACR, API Management/Swagger, Log Analytics and Application Insights or similar technologies
  • Rich experience Cloud data management solutions like Postgres, Redis, Event Hub, Kafka etc.
  • Proficiency in working on Kubernetes and Containerized environments
